Go Poong, subtitled Memory of Childhood, is a suite for four character pieces in which Korean folk-melodies and traditional tunes are used to shape the melodic content. Okbinyo is the third piece in the suite, which shows an interplay of two contrasting sections, a lively rhythm and a slow lyrical melody. Go Poong can be heard in Klara Min’s newly released recording on the Naxos label, “Ripples on Water” (Piano music by Korean composers). Klara Min
